Ascentic Chosen as Technology Partner for Commercial Actors' Groundbreaking Talent Agency and Platform

We are excited to announce that Commercial Actors has chosen Ascentic as their strategic technology partner in the development of their new digital platform. The collaboration aims to streamline processes in the casting industry by introducing a modern, efficient, and user-friendly digital platform.
Commercial Actors is a Swedish company founded by Malou T Schultzberg and Jonas Tallroth. From Malou´s extensive experience in casting, having casted more than 800 commercials as well as numerous Films and TV series, Malou realized the process could be greatly simplified with the use of a customized digital platform. Casting of commercials is today a tedious and manual activity, where the timeline is often tight to find and contract the right actor for each role. Malou understood that the process could be improved greatly to benefit the production team as well as the actors and started building on the concept of the Commercial Actors platform.
The new digital platform is poised to offer casting professionals and industry an all-in-one platform that simplifies and enhances the different aspects of the casting process. From managing an international talent database of actors, online auditions, handling contracts for casted individuals and administrating the different aspects of the process to enabling lean communication among all involved parties; the long-term vision is for the platform to be a game-changer in the industry.
The first version of the new solution is now launched, including concept development and UI design. The team from Ascentic includes a project lead, UX specialist, UI designer, full-stack developers, an infrastructure specialist as well as test engineers. The solution is built using NextJS, Tailwind CSS, NodeJS, AWS and FusionAuth. The technologies were proposed and decided after analyzing the functional requirements of the solution together with intended timeline for launching the new digital platform and associated costs of the selected services.
It’s a brand new service and concept, where we are a Talent Agency and Platform in one. We offer a global window for the actors and an efficient way for the industry to find the best hand-picked professional actors from different parts of the world in one place.
